The Press Before the Bench: Why Dips Deserve First Place in Your Push Day

Walk through any commercial gym and you'll see a line at the bench press. You might not see anyone on the dip bars all night. That's a modern quirk, not a verdict on the movement. For decades before the bench press became a competitive lift, lifters built thick chests and triceps by pressing themselves between parallel bars. The dip was the original heavy press. Mistakes That Limit Dip Growth
